Also, I wanna know what LKH's obsession with men in french braids is. I mean, I can go along with the men-with-long-hair thing, though it's not my thing. But...french braids?? I don't think I've ever seen a man with a french braid. I would quite possibly point and laugh. And she has guys wearing them ALL THE TIME.

(Edit: She's also always, when they're wearing the french braid, saying it makes them LOOK like they have short hair, which....no. I am currently wearing a french braid. I do not look like I have short hair, I just look like my long hair is pulled back. BZZT! Try again!)

Sure you did. At the RenFaire. Remember the big hair braiding booth? Also I've seen a picture of ND with a french braid in his (then long) hair.

Though this is besides the point. And who am I to quibble about somebody else's hair obsession?

I've seen the first one, as Hec notes, all over the Ren Faire. Particularly among the Scotsmen. Away from Faire, I've only ever seen the second.

It's kind of telling that the emotionally healthiest character in the series is a porn-star/stripper werewolf.

Plus Jason will tell Anita off and she'll accept it.

From what I've seen on other boards, Richard represents LKH's husband from whom she had a nasty divorce. I'm not sure which of Anita's current harem is supposed to be her new guy.

Back when I had long hair, I useta do the first one occasionally. More involved than I usually like to do, though. Now I'm just superlazy and keep my hair short so I don't have to bother with it.

So, yeah, there are a few freaks who occasionally do the french braid thing in public.
