Where's the praising and extolling of my virtues? Where's the love?

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I very much enjoyed When You Reach Me but not as much as I like her most recent book.

I liked it very much but I suspect that has much to do with it being almost the exact timeline of my life.

I didn't realize she had a new book out.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

megan, it's called Liar & Spy. Not super new, but I bought it last summer in hardcover and read it before reading When You Reach Me.

Liar & Spy was just so astute about children and their experiences and so good at being surprising right up to the end. Quite a lovely book.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Since there are no new episodes of Hannibal for a while, I decided I needed to re-read the books. However, I couldn't find them on my bookshelf. So, I bought them again at the library bookstore today, for 50 cents each.

You got fleeced for the 4th one at that price.

I love my library bookstore. I volunteer there and am working there tomorrow. There are some awesome sci-fi books on the shelf right now, practically new, that sadly I already own. Everything in the store is under $4.

Jilli, anything specific? Or will any Dracula do?

rubs hands together

I have the two paperbacks with the tie-in covers for the Coppola movie, and I've got the various paperback versions that B&N re-releases. Other than that, I will take any edition. The older the better, of course. Thank you for looking!
