Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Ok, I think someone here rec'd Best OfAll Possible Worlds? I downloaded e sample, and all I can think is "is this Trek fic post Vulcan-destruction, with the serial numbers filed of?" That's not necessarily a BAD thing, but I'm curious.

'Suela, you've mentioned that story before, but this was the first time I actually followed the link to read it, and oh, wow, it's so good! I don't even like Anthony Bourdain much, but that story is just delightful.

Oh, huh, how did I not know that, Suela? I follow her on DW. Cool, ok.

I thought her pseudonym sounded familiar, and then from the notes at the end and some of the comments I figured out it must be her. I do love her writing. And I hadn't heard that she sold her YA series -- that's excellent news!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I'm not sure I heard that either, but good for her!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've been re-reading all of the Miles Vorkosigan books, and I just realized why I always feel warmly towards NPR's Martin Kaste (which I looked up for the spelling) -- of course it's because of Ma Kosti and her Martin!

Also, I think I like the later books better because Naismith stresses me out.
