Okay, I need some hivemind help. Elie Wiesel (I think!) has a quote about writing poetry that I want to reference. It's something about how poetry comes from suffering and then people tell the poet, oh, suffer again, so we can hear the exquisite sounds of your groans.
Something like that. But much better. Can anyone find it for me? My google-fu is failing.

Has anyone read "Fated" (an Alex Versus novel)? I'm in the middle of it right now and I think it is scratching a particular itch for me. I'm enjoying it, though I'm a bit lost in the world-building.
