I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have a question for all of you. If you had to list a set of books (say 5-10, but no fixed number is required) of your favorite books you have READ in 2012, what would they be?

In no particular order: Sandman Slim by Richard Kadrey, Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury, The Paris Wife by Paula McClain, Rock Paper Tiger by Lisa Brackmann, and Aloha From Hell by Richard Kadrey. Lunatic Heroes by Anthony Martignetti would probably also be on the list, but I haven't finished reading it yet.

Ok, who has a recommendation for a book for my younger brother? He's 29, lives in Europe, and is vaguely libertarian about shit. I don't know what thrillers and stuff he's read, but I figure ill give him a book to go with an amazon gift card for his kindle.
