Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

'Shells'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Oh, good! I wasn't aware she'd been in anything else. ABC Family is just on in my house enough that Secret Life is all I recognized her name from.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth

I take it the last one will be called Resurgent?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

- The Rook by Daniel O'Malley (awesome)

I'm about halfway through this myself, based on, if I remember correctly, Pix's recommendation. I'm definitely enjoying it. Good to see another rec!

It is such a cool story! Very different, and nice to see a girl main character kicking ass all over the book without being anybody's love interest.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I shared this on FB, but it probably belongs here too.

John Green does a little video love letter to our alma mater Kenyon College.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

This is a great essay about LeGuin and her legacy.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I'm almost through _Paper Towns_ by John Green and loving it.

I keep meaning to read more John Green, but The Fault in Our Stars ruined my day and then some with all the tears, and so I'm hesitant. However I feel like there is no way anything he's ever written or will write could possibly be sadder.

What is Paper Towns about?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm almost through _Paper Towns_ by John Green and loving it.

I just finished it last week! I liked it, but not as much as The Fault in Our Stars or An Abundance of Katherines. I'm in the middle of Will Grayson, Will Grayson right now.
