Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

I've been skimming. Has anyone told Jilli about this?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I still really want the Jane Eyre one, even though it is in no way practical for me as a purse. I carry too much stuff to fit in it, and I can't carry a purse that doesn't have a cross body strap when I am using my crutches.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

By the way, I bought the Alice in Wonderland one for my SIL last year and it was really well done.

Always Anti-fascist!

Gigi Garner(Jim's daughter) is a Buffista spirit baby. She told some old guy that wrote a bad review of her dad's book to quit picking on her father, and learn to type and spell. I was tickled.

I finished the third Sandman Slim book yesterday and then started reading Something Wicked This Way Comes which I have been meaning to read some October for several years now but somehow keep not doing it. So far, I love it!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oooh! Thanks for reminding me of SWTWC. I know what I'll be reading next...

Happy to help!

Why didn't I take this advice sooner? I really haven't read much Bradbury other than Fahrenheit 451 and some short stories, which is odd because I have really enjoyed what I have read by him.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Right? I was the same way when I read it a few months ago. I clearly need to read more.
