Damn you, wee Teppy and -t! I just placed my order because I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Tep, at one point Val (or maybe Darquesse, I think it was during the fight for the Sceptre of the Ancients) caught sight of AU Mevolent's eyes flashing yellow, which isn't exactly golden, but got me thinking. Then again, yellow eyes could be a red herring.
And, yay Pix! Mwahaha, my plan is coming together.
I've read the first six and hard-sold them to all of my students. I just can't wait for #7 any longer!
And once you get it you will have to devour it swiftly, and then we can talk about the Thing and the Other Things!
That's my cunning plan.
It is a good cunning plan.
I have to wait until the 20th when my brother gets back from England to read the new Skulduggery book. He's reading it on the plane and then stopping at our house on his way home from the airport to drop it off.. I love my bro - even tho I have to wait a week
the serious downside of purchasing on Amazon is that Amazon knows me. They send me email messages with things they think I will like and that engine is getting better and better.
check out this new fucking service:
kindle is partnering with audible and doing whispersync for select books, where you can read the book, and then it syncs with the audiobook position. I have wanted this shit for YEARS. YEARS.
The selection isn't quite there yet, but I'll be damned.
Tep, at one point
I thought that was AU Vengeous (or Serpine? argh, I think I read too quickly). Because in the "real" Skulduggery universe, Vengeous could just look at someone and they would sort of explode, and his eyes turned yellow before that happened.
I guess I need to go re-read that part. Which might be difficult, since Tim has possession of the book now. Hopefully I'll get home from work before him.
Oh, you might be right.
Okay, how do I search the text of a hardback?
Eta: yup, that was Vengeous. I can't keep my bad guys straight.
I've been gone to long to know, but if anyone like Justin Cronin's 'The Passage', I've got by grubby hands on an advance copy of 'The Twelve' and so far, it's spectacular!
