I use the Kindle app on my tablet and love it. I still order some book-books though, and still love them also.
Interestingly, my DH is reverting from his Fire to his old Kindle as it's easier to read (despite lack of wi-fi)
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Did you guys hear about the new Kindles? They're on the front page at Amazon: [link]
Oh man, they just straight-up stopped selling the Touch since the Paperwhite is basically the Touch+. And here I just got a new Touch! Ha. Oh well, I've always been behind the times on technology.
Oh man, the Time to Read features seems really awesome! It watches your reading speed and lets you know about how much time it will take you to finish reading your current chapter. I wonder if that will work on e-books that you didn't buy from Amazon?
This is so tempting! I still have my 2nd Generation Kindle, and I've never been tempted to upgrade until this one. Argh!

That is an awesome feature to be able to access. Of course it negates your ability to truthfully whine and say you had no idea it was going to take you until 3 a.m. to finish your book and that's why you are tired today. I mean, we usually know. We just read anyway. With some measure of plausible deniability.

I don't see why it wouldn't, since it seems to just calculate based on your page-turning. As long as the ebook has chapters, it should be able to do the same math. That's the feature I'm excited about as well when I get one of these in five years right before they announce the new one.
For those of you who have read Feed and are following Mark Reads: we just bought a video to watch Mark's reaction to a certain chapter. You know the one.
ooh! I need to follow.
P-C,
damn. you have to tell me which chapter. Because to my mind, there are about 2 or 3 possibilities. It all depends on whether you went for big big big intensity or if you went with HSQ #1.
Someone has already bought the chapter where Buffy dies. We want to see his brain melt when George does.
It's fun to follow the newbies' reactions in the comments. Some of them were just as unprepared as Mark; they didn't even know that it was about bloggers following a presidential campaign.
