You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita, shelve it in YA. That's when I read it!

To be honest, me too...

Amy, you MUST read The Night Circus! I need more people to wibble at about it! It's a gorgeous book. And (very importantly to me), while it is gorgeous and I want to live in it, it doesn't fill me with despair about what *I'M* writing. Which, yes, I was worried about before I read it.

Because books.

Jilli, I want to so much. I can't believe I forgot about it when buying books.

not your mom's socks.

I can't wait to read the Night Circus - next month though. boo.

I also can't wait to read what Jilli's writing. But I say that every so often.

The Night Circus really is just the sort of thing I eat up with a spoon. I'll admit, I'm a tiny (TINY) bit jealous that Erin Morganstern was able to get a book out there with the black & white color scheme as part of the plot, but I'll get over it.

I really do want to run away and join Cirque du Reves. Perhaps more than I want to join Coodger & Dark's, even.

The Night Circus

I am reading it right now (AFIG!). It is so good. I am loving the heck out of it. I know that I am going to be all sorts of sad because I'm almost done with it but I have to finish it before I can start on the latest Skulduggery Pleasant, which I am dying to read too. My first world problems, let me show you them.

ita ! my Nook shelf with the random stuff is called "etc."

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I totally read The Night Circus while traveling to/at Theater Bizarre -- what a fun book/trip tie-in!

I have no Nook shelves; I simply scroll. Most of my stuff is para, scifi, YA or romance, anyway.
