I'm so evil and... skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

The status is NOT quo.

What a great time to read it again, sj!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What a great time to read it again, sj!

We're also going to Bronte Parsonage, which I've never been too. So there will probably be a re-reading of Jane Eyre too. Luckily, they're both on my kindle.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Pix,

I love the book too. I need to re-read it soon. The thing about Austen's prose is that it just flows so well. What a wonderful writer.

And so FUNNY! That’s the thing I’ve loved rediscovering the most.

Because books.

Pix, do you like Emma, too? I always feel like the odd girl out because that's the Austen I really love.

I'm all about the snark in Austen, which so many readers (not Buffistas of course) seem to miss.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I know not everyone here is a fan of Austen, but I just adore this book.

Yeah, but I'd say 95% of the people here are.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I like Emma. Mansfield Park is the one that kind of blows.

Though really, my favorite is probably Persuasion.

Because books.

I've never read Persuasion.

I still need to read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, too, to complete my Bronte reading.
