Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I pictured him dark-haired too, but I don't know if he was actually described as such or if my brain just made a super handsome = dark haired link.

Ethan Peck is certainly good looking! Well chosen, Amy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's something about his bottom lip that bothers me. But thematically, he did make me think of Steven McQueen. I could kinda work with that.

I think of him as gold, all gold. Again, couldn't tell you what the book says.

eta: Amy I did get one from you this morning so far...

You're right, ita! Hunger Games Wiki tells me that he is golden skinned, bronze haired, and green eyed.

Also, he won his Games when he was 14?! I knew he was young, but I hadn't realized quite how young.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought Finnick was Talented Mr. Ripley-era Jude Law? I realize that doesn't help with actually making a movie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There, see. Anyway, why am I thinking about movie-making in the book thread?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because more people are spoilt for Finnick's existence here than there. At least, that's what I was thinking when I chose here to ask.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hunger Games Wiki tells me that he is golden skinned, bronze haired, and green eyed.

So basically Sting from Dune?

Amy - Sep 16, 2011 6:57:45 am PDT #16365 of 28282
Because books.

Charlie Hunnam would be great, but maybe a couple of years ago.

It could have been Jensen Ackles, once upon a time.

That makes me sad.
