Man. . . somebody posted at Westeros that Waterstone sent their book already (probably arriving tomorrow) and somebody else got a call from the local bookshop that their copy was ready to be picked up and meanwhile, Amazon doesn't even have my copy (of ADWD) "shipping soon."

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Interview with GRRM's editor.
I just finished my re-read of Ice and Fire.
I have to say, there are a lot of criticizers of A Feast for Crows, but I think it is one of the best books in the series. Yes, I wish I saw more of the missing characters, but the scope of the series is so thoroughly expanded in the book that I just don't mind.

Gris, i read that the goal is 7 books (7 kingdoms, 7 aspects of the divine..)
And given how long #5 took, i think we can all safely assume we will not live to see the climax.

He is only about 100 pages into Winds of Winter.
I just finished Pretties, and, ah! I did not see this coming, and yet I totally should have seen this coming.
It's kind of distracting how much I'm reminded of Hunger Games, even though this came first. I think it's just that they use a lot of the same genre tropes.
