If it helps at all, I really enjoyed Julie & Julia - more than I expected to. It unexpectedly really spoke to some angst I was feeling in my own life (tho' almost 10 years older and not yet married, so shut up, Julie! t /ignore me, still dealing with my own issues ). So I'd probably fill the time with J&J while waiting for Mark to catch up, if it were me.

I read on in Infinite Jest, got to the first big gush of endnotes and said, "oookay, this is a good stopping point."
Waitaminute, the end notes have end notes? I don't think I can do this book before coffee.
If I recall correctly, the endnotes of the endnotes have endnotes.

Have you read House of Leaves ? The footnotes have an appendix that has footnotes.
Why would footnotes need footnotes?
