That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

LivingSocial says that you can't use the $5 credit towards the Amazon card.

That's what not they said LAST NIGHT.

(Guess they changed it after everyone abused the shit out of it.)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Connie- I do not know if it is too late on the Librivox question, but I have a real life friend who sometimes uses Librivox, and who is very picky (he actually will buy audiobooks from many different readers because he likes there style) He told me that there is a reader who reads PG Wodehouse books on Librivox by the name of Tim Bulkeley that he would recommend.

Oh, cool, some Wodehouse would be perfect for a bus ride.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Bah. My library's selection of ebooks is disappointing.

My library is compatible with almost every other book format but the Kindle. Bah!

Did I mention my Kindle arrived Monday. I like it so far. I have to say, beyond the New Yorker, I am disappointed with content available in Canada. The Kindle store is trying to tell me that the free versions of Austen's Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility are not available in Canada due to copyright reasons. Come On!!!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, Kindle specifically does not work with libraries.

I've downloaded a couple of books from there, but I haven't tried loading them on the Kindle. I know there are other resources for public domain stuff out there, it's just that not making PD stuff available internationally is BS.
