I can't fix Cinna in my brain for some reason, Effie is Umbridge in my head, in spite of the book description. Haymitch is a mix of The Wizard of Oz, Brenden Gleeson and a friend of my dad's. In other words: my brain casting is strange.
'Potential'
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Cinna is fully formed in my imagination and when I try to fix him onto an actor (Alan Cumming?) he rebells, shaking his head and stomping his feet... hmm, maybe that guy from Beautiful People? Brain Cinna says, "No Way!"
I picture Cheeks as Cinna.
I have a really clear Peeta in my head for some reason, and it's not an actor. But I know pretty much exactly what he looks like, and a little less sure of Gale. I have no idea why. I don't usually do it.
Actually, and Finnick. But I'd cheerfully cast Finnick. Avec couch.
I assumed he was really old too, but he's at most 41
I never said really old! I said over the hill! They aren't the same thing.
Cheeks?
Ooh, I'm ahead of you, P-C! I just started Chapter 16.
What chapter is the Mark Reads guy up to?
Cinna to me looks like John Phillip Law and acts like Hank Azaria.
Or 43. I forget the upper limit of the reaping. But he's in his early forties.
God DAMN. The Boy is...uh...44. Or maybe 45. That's serious cognitive dissonance.
Now Gale I have no idea. Three books in and I still don't have a firm image of him in my mind.
I pictured him as a really scruffy James Franco. Or possibly I just like thinking about James Franco.
Hamish is a younger Harry Dean Stanton, say the Harry Dean Stanton of Repo Man, to me.
