I'm going to re-read
Neverwhere
as soon as I'm done with
Kushiel's Dart.
(The other half of the Gothic Fashion Hivemind started reading the Kushiel series, flailed and squee'd a lot, said I must must must read it, and handed me the first book. I'm about halfway through, and ... it's not the Best Thing Evar!, but it's fun. Except for not being able to keep people's names straight half the time.)
Aimée, what made you decide to start with American Gods?
I've decided that my plane books for next week are going to be whatever I don't finish this week from the Tremairie series and the Morrigan's Cross trilogy. I am also going to need to hit a book store for more though-- any suggestions?

I don't think the third one is out yet. (And I still have to read the first two myself.)
Have you read Sorcery and Cecilia? I just ordered the second Cecy and Kate adventure, The Grand Tour, and someone upthread mentioned a third one is out. I loved Sorcery -- light, delicious fun.

California Demon, by Julie Kenner. Totally fun. Not deep.

Yes, these. They're all sorts of fun.
Have you read
War for the Oaks
by Emma Bull? If not, go get that.
Thanks! I will definitely look for these.

So many people have said it was good, and it appealed to me last night. I've read all of "my" books a billion times.
The 3rd book in the Morrigan's Cross trilogy comes out on Halloween.
I have to write a haiku about King Dork, the book I'm currently reading, for my bookstore's blog's Friday review. All I know so far is that "Catcher in the Rye" will be the last line. probably. Trying to be clever on deadline makes my brain hurt!
American Gods seems like a good place to start reading Gaiman. It's the first in that universe, after all. I'm interested to hear what you think of it, Aimee.
I just read Anansi Boys (out in paperback, yay!) and listened to "Monarch of the Glen", and now I really want to go back and reread American Gods. My books need to unpack themselves and get catalogued so I can find it.
