It'll convert them automatically. You may want to check -- most credit cards charge an extra 1-3% for "foreign currency conversion." (A quick check suggests that Capital One doesn't, but I'm not positive.)

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Hec, you also might want to check into shipping charges. I've ordered a few CDs from HMV in the UK, and shipping turned reasonably priced CDs into very expensive CDs.

Yeah, I've actually had books shipped free to friends in France who then ship the box to me to avoid paying essentially double for what you're getting.

I have my own issues with his books, but I adore his response to the "how dare you" kind of question about the title of his latest. [The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ]. "No one has the right to live their life without being shocked."

Seanan is a good friend of mine! I'm so excited for her.
Go Gail Carriger!
Also, speaking of Ms. Carriger: AAAAUUUGH, CHANGELESS ENDED ON A HELL OF A CLIFFHANGER AND I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW NOW NOW.
Ahem. I called Gail a fiend on Twitter. She was pleased.
Go Gail Carriger!
Go Seanan McGuire! She's hoping they don't end up splitting the urban fantasy vote. I'm hoping her zombie novel coming out in a few weeks gets her the horror vote and tips her over the edge.
I am not reading your whitefont! I am getting the new book on Saturday, and maybe I will call Gail a fiend to her face in your honor, but I won't be reading it until I finish Transmetropolitan, which I am reading in preparation for the aforementioned zombie novel, which she likes to describe as "Transmetropolitan meets The West Wing meets Night of the Living Dead."
I keep meaning to check out Seanan McGuire's book, but my to-be-read stack is kind of frightening at the moment.
When you meet Gail Carriger, please tell her I said hi. I keep hoping that she'll come to Seattle for book stuff.
I will definitely tell her hi for you! I'm looking forward to the reading. I hear she's fun.

I know the feeling. The Toby books are very good, but I read the draft of Feed that was submitted to the publisher, and it was AWESOME. Also, there's a character named Buffy. If you're trying to prioritize, I would move it closer to the top of your hypothetical stack. It's scary and exciting and fun and surprising and intriguing and all that good stuff. And more relevant to your interests, I imagine. It is lower in actual zombie content than most zombie novels, though. It's the humans you really have to watch out for.
Hey, Gail is on Facebook! You should be Facebook friends. And have her join your Vampire Wars team or whatever.

That would mean I would have to log onto Facebook, bah. We're already LJ and Twitter friends.
