Ok, I have Alien Taste by Wen Spencer and Demon Mistress by Yasmine Galenorn in my B&N library that are eligible for the LendMe beta, if anyone is interested.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Heh. I had to go check....but I"ve already read that Wen Spencer (and prefer her non-Ukiah Oregon books, but liked that series OK).
Vonnie, the wife is Ekaterin. Diplomatic Immunity is the first novel after they marry, and it's kind of run of the mill mystery, set on the same space station with the quaddies as in Falling Free. I found it, astonishing for Bujold, eminently forgettable.
I wish I liked Ekaterin better than I do, but frankly there isn't a female character in the series who can compete with Cordelia. Although Alys and Lady Dono are pretty fun.
Isn't she Donna now? Formerly Dono?
I enjoyed the Sharing Knife series a great deal, but am Super Excited for more Vorkosigan!
Isn't she Donna now? Formerly Dono?
Other way around - she needed a penis to inherit.
Oh, DER. I knew that.

I just finishes reading Juliet, Naked by Nick Hornby. Any of you read it? I loved his take on internet culture.
Jason just finished it and liked it a lot. It's next on my list after I finish Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
I read it recently and liked it a lot (and I blogged about it for work). One of my favorite things about Hornby's books is that he understands the nature of fannish behavior extremely well, so he's able to depict it with compassion and a knowing wink, but also to poke fun at it and point out its darker side without coming across as saying "Fans are straight-up crazy."
