Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just read that there's going to be a prequel to P&P&Z, as well as maybe a sequel.

Hey. New board.

I come to the thread requesting help identifying a book:

I read it a couple of years ago. It is contemporary adult fiction with a young (8 years old, about) female protagonist. I believe it's set in England, but I could be wrong. She attends a school where she is learning Chinese, I remember that. I loved the style - it was written from the girl's perspective, and it captured the style of a young person by using long words occasionally in completely wrong ways, among other things.

I liked it. I don't remember the name. I want it. Any help?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For the serious fan, a well researched look into How to Survive a Stephen King story.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Have we shuddered at this yet? [link] New editions of Wuthering Heights, with covers reminding us that it's Bella and Edward's favorite book.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'm doing this thing right now called 5 ft Shelf. Basicallt, you create this ideal 5 foot shelf of books that you love/think are ultimate. You can create mini shelves for movie or music.

It's pretty new but looks like a total 'Ffista thing.

(I'm there under captain mordinary, building a shelf.)
