Jilli, did you know there's a new Vampire Kisses book out?
'Heart Of Gold'
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Jilli, did you know there's a new Vampire Kisses book out?
Royal Blood? Or volume 3 of the manga? Yes, I have both, and they're both charming.
Royal Blood, and damn, you're fast! I just heard about it Friday and got it from the library today.
Royal Blood, and damn, you're fast!
I had it pre-ordered, so it shipped to me on the release date in July. I'm a big enough fan that I periodically check to see what she's got listed as future releases, and then hit Amazon to place my pre-orders.
I do know that Julie Kenner, of the cutesy-named demon books (California Demon, Deja Demon, Demons Are Forever, Carpe Demon [and that's not the order they were written]) has a new book out tomorrow (Demon Ex Machina), which is winging its way to me as we speak.
Hee. Those are some cutesy names. Next up: Demon Little Demon Me.
WOOO!! I love Julie Kenner!!
I haven't read her stuff. Would I like it?
It's best described as Buffy Becomes a Soccer Mom.
I'm honestly not sure if you would like it. It's fluff. It's funny. There are definitely hints of Buffy-inspired humor that those well versed in the canon will get. There's also a lot of hand-wavium that must go on.
(I'm terrified of rec-ing books to people. Mostly cause I'm worried of the "She actually LIKES this crap? What a moron!" Not that anyone I know would actually do that, but my brain is not always a rational cookie.)
I liked her Givenchy Code series. It was fun.
