SH, of those listed, my husband really likes Jeff Vandermeer, though he hasn't read that particular one. Have you seen the Outer Alliance? It's a glbtq friendly group of authors, editors, publishers, etc.

Of them, I've read some of their works. I love Nicola Griffith's work (mysteries). I haven't read, but in my TBR pile is a bunch of Lynn Flewelling (dark fantasy).
There's Ellen Kushner's Swordspoint, which I love (fantasy).
From DP, there's Faerie Blood by Angela Korrat'i which has some gay supporting characters, also set in Seattle, only available in ebook (contemporary fantasy--elvish elvis impersonator and fairy bikers), and a pretty edgy YA, Mary Borsellino's Wolf House also available in e . It's an ensemble cast, and some of the characters are gay or bi (contemporary vampires). Both of those will be in print next year.
I have read the Flewelling books, and Swordspoint (and the other books in that series).

DP (http://drolleriepress.com) is trying to publish more gay and gay friendly fiction. We have a really powerful lesbian fantasy novel with interesting world building coming up soon (probably October) by Teresa Wymore, and we have a couple of interesting pieces in the anthology Needles & Bones.
