Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What's the problem again, sj? I must have missed it.

You didn't miss it. I didn't want to post everything here yet.

What is even happening?

Sigh...just spent my usual Tuesday night, when I chase Mal around with a rag because the nanny's used a tamping rod to get food down him because "He's too thin!"

Too thin? You know, I hope, that I think you have a physically beautiful child. I do. I think he's simply gorgeous. I never once thought him too thin (I don't think him too fat, either, but too thin?). From the photos, he is wonderfully proportioned, and his cheeks are bite-able.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I called back, and I am now convinced that the world is mostly filled with dishonest people. Here is the situation. We move some of my stuff in yesterday, it was a beautiful day, and everything got done easily. Things were going way too smoothly. Then, the owner comes and she drops the bomb that "of course you know I am actively trying to sell the place". WTF?!? No one informed us of this ahead of time, and I am paying over $700 to move and we might have to move again in a couple of months if it sells? I just spoke to the agent and he said no one mentioned it to us because there is only about a 1% chance that she will be able to sell it without taking a huge loss, and he doesn't think that she is willing to take that loss. I am so confused. I don't know what to do. Do we unpack all our stuff, get settled in, buy a washer and dryer like we planned to?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Ya know what would make today better?

Having my network printer go down and need parts that will take a week to arrive. Yeppers. Please - can we do that? Pretty please? I wanna run around to the other side of the floor every time I need to print something cause I'm not busy enough. Gosh. Please?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

sj, do you know if there's a deadline/timetable for the potential selling?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

sj, you're signing a lease, right? For a year? I don't know anything officially, but surely they can't toss you out on your ass two months in.

What is even happening?

Oh my word, sj. I'm sorry. I don't know what to say, except that would make me go all Smitey McSmite, 1% chance or not. I'm wondering if there is a state or city agency you should contact, because you clearly wouldn't have bothered to move in, if you thought you'd have to move out. Are you on a lease, or month-to-month, or what?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Hello All. Not being caught up until nearly lunchtime really serves to lessen the Gronk levels. Interesting.

HAPPY BETH DAY!!!!!

Too many gorgeous sprog! Buffistas must be hogging the beautiful!

bt, you and Wallybee look so happy!

{{{{{{cass & niece}}}}}} I'm sorry you're in such a hard place. Really glad that your niece has you in her corner. Praying and vibing for a positive outcome for you both.

sj - ~ma in whatever variety would be of service.

Suzi - isn't that what temps are for? Filling in on a temporary basis? Does your office have something against them? (Prepared to back off if not my business and just support your rant without added advice if that's what's preferred).

Got my tax refund on Friday. Spent almost all of it this weekend on brand new, black, fitted

. . .

tires for my truck.

On the phone with one of the guys from my RenFaire guild yesterday, he said something vaguely double-entendre-y to me, I responded with something mildly naughty back and he said he was surprised to get that response from someone as straight-laced as me. That may be the first time anyone has called me straight-laced. Ever. It's really weird to realize that I apparently have different personas around Guild friends, dance friends, church friends, etc. In my head I'm always the same. Hmm.

Because books.

sj, is it a two-family house? A buyer might be more likely to buy if the house has renters in place (shows it's a good investment), so it doesn't mean that the prospective new owner would ask you to leave. We lived in a rental property that got sold, and the new owner was thrilled to have renters in place.

It's obviously trickier if it's a single-family home (and I couldn't tell when I saw the pictures you posted), but what are your options right now?

Also, what the wiser people said about a lease. Did you sign one?
