I am in the not-showered camp. I'm getting over a cold and have been told sternly (though without the use of a bullwhip) to rest today. I'm trying very hard to comply. Shower and food are sounding better and better, though.

I don't know -- IMO a shower and food don't really violate the order to rest, both being soothing, stupor-inducing activities and all. I think you're just getting high on domination.
