[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

Happy Lillian Day to you and Paul.

I never got this part until I had a baby myself. Of course, we will have much baby-centered celebration on Ellie's b-day, but AFAIC, the birthday should really be all about the parents. They are the ones that did all the work on that particular day.

Happy Baby Day to Paul and Plei!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy Birthday to the Squeakaboo!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Every year on my birthday, I call my mother to thank her giving birth to me, and every year, I get to hear the whole saga of how I didn't want to come out of the womb. It's a thing.

Happy birthday Squeakaboo, and congrats to P and P.

What is even happening?

My mother worked with a woman whose son-in-law sent her a dozen roses every year on her daughter's/his wife's birthday.

I bet that gesture covered a multitude of sins.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Mommy Day Plei!

Mostly lurking...

Got a question for the Bitches.

Mom is bringing me a beautiful black shawl to wear with my NYE dress tonight (we're going to the symphony, but it might be chilly afterwards). She suggested that I wear a pin to keep it closed, because it's slippery. Mom grabbed one of her pins to bring for me, but it's gold, and my jewelry that I'm wearing with the dress is silver.

So, I decided to look through the pins I have in the costume jewelry I got from my grandmother. Turns out I have both of my grandmothers' pins that my parents gave them after I was born. It's a darling silver bow with my first baby picture in it. Would it be tacky for me to wear this?

Absolutely not tacky.

Owen was up several times last night with the snottie head cold and I finally got him back down at 5:30 a.m. But now he's sleeping soundly and if I don't get him up and out of the house in 20 minutes, we're going to be late for his check up at the pediatrician. I HATE waking him up when he's sleeping.

And Olivia slept nine hours straight last night. She must have known I was busy with Owen.
