(Sometimes, when you're really annoyed by the car-seat tantrum, it is almost fun.)
Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Who wants to cover me while I go over there and resue that baby from a life of ridiculous parenting that borders on dangerous?
Empress, you do remember that I have a connection on the Malibu Sheriffs? (Matter of fact, one of the officers on the scene for the Brittany Baby Shower BB Gun shooting a few months back). Lemme see what I can do to get you in and out with backup.
the stories he tells about his "beat"...
Sometimes naps are wonderful. Sometimes, though, the dreams put your brain in a very weird place.
Joe freaked me out a couple of weekends ago.
He and my parents and Emeline rode up to my job at the dealership. About 20 miles of all freeway driving from our house. When they got there, I opened the van door to get Emeline out and notcied the car seat WASN'T ATTACHED! Em was strapped in, but the seat wasn't attached to the car. I didn't get angry, really. Usually, the seat never gets moved, but I had unfastened it the night before when I picked my parents up from the airport. Joe was freaked out. Now neither of us drives anywhere without making sure the carseat is buckled in a sooper tight.
I've yelled at people I've seen driving around town here with babies and toddlers out of car seats.
Years ago, my aunt's boss had a minor accident in which just tapped the bumper of the car in front of him. He got out of the car to go up and talk to driver, and found that the driver had been holding a baby between her and the steering wheel and the baby was dead. According to my aunt, he never got over it.
Leif has discovered the release button on the seatbelt. Every once and a while he will unfasten the seatbelt. It's really annoying. At least he doesn't do it very often.
Oh, my god, Ginger. That's awful.
Yikes, that's a horrible story.
Ginger -- how terrible.
I always thought it was a dreadful story, plus it showed how the least misstep can change your life. I also remember it every time I see someone holding a baby in her lap in the car.
