No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I am really trying not to laugh here.

Hee. Let me know how that works out for you.

I have chosen the location of one of my weekend dates, a riverside restaurant. They're predicting showers, so we may not get to do much perambulation, but it should still be a pleasant venue.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Dude! If I were closer, I totally be angling for an intro!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Sneakily snarky.
::swoons::

He sounds way too interesting to be true. I fear that soon you're going to tell me like you actually meant Portland, Maine.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Well, after the gre's, I went to a lecture at EKU from Massimo Pigliucci, a fascinating evolutionary biologist that ripped apart some arguments on intelligent design. Great lecture. Afterwards, I ended up going to a bar with the lecturer, a professor from Berea, and a bunch of EKU professors, and we talked for two hours about science, philosophy, evolution, racism, and so on. It was *awesome.* (I was the youngest person there. That seems to be a repeating theme throughout my life.)

However, towards the end I got a call telling me I was missing a group meeting for a class presentation tomorrow. Doh! And staying out that late means that I'm only now starting my homework. I'm so wrecked...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dude! If I were closer, I totally be angling for an intro!

If he were within 500 miles of you, I'd set you up.

He sounds way too interesting to be true.

He's just a really good guy. I mean, I have a lot of close male friends that I wouldn't be in a hurry to set up with women I liked, but I have no hesitation about recommending him.

I fear that soon you're going to tell me like you actually meant Portland, Maine.

Nope. Oregon.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Billytea, did you see my Galapagos pictures? There were some I took thinking of you, like the frigate bird with his pouch fully extended [link] or the female marine iguanas digging nests for their eggs in the sand [link] or the penguins [link]

Those are excellent. I'd like to get there one day. (Along with most of the rest of the world, so we'll see how it works out.)

I had my objective-setting thing today. The manager kept talking about what I need to do to become a senior consultant. And I"m trying to keep a straight face throughout, but I keep thinking "That's Señor Consultant to you!" Or simply "Are you very, very drunk?"

Oh! But I did get put into my objectives that I have to attend seminars and otherwise do good things for my knowledge base, and we talked a bit about this seminar in Sydney I'm attending next week. Wait till he finds out the next one I'm suggesting is in LA.
