Stop that right now! I can hear the smacking!

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Spidra, I hope your father heals quickly. Ouch!

vw, may the steriods do the job it was meant to do, and leave the rest of you alone!

Yay for haircutted Teppy! I had mine cut yesterday, but Hec will just have to live with the fact that I won't be cutting it short any time soon. I like being able to pull it up into a ponytail exercising, hiking, flying, etc.

Yay for bt & love!

Go, Nora! I know you have 4-5 pages in you! The DH and I are supposed to go to Yosemite tonight or tomorrow morning. He's at a frisbee tournament in Davis, and doesn't know when he'll get home, thus the uncertainty about our departure. Yesterday, a woman he knows (and who he was hoping would play on his team this year) died at the frisbee fields after a seizure, so a part of me is a little nonplussed that they are playing games at all. According to my DH, she was really a lovely, upbeat person, who was a nurse for children's Hospice. I hope that someone is at least acknowledging her passing by passing the hat so that they can make a donation to Hospice in Ana's name.

Mostly lurking...

You can do it, Nora. You totally can. Take a little break. Get some food in you. Then attack it again.

Sparky, that's so sad.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

vw, I hope things go easier for you very soon.

Laura, is there any use to covering your cheek with gauze? I guess not because you'd need something sticky to stick the gauze to your cheek with, huh?

Continued good writing~ma to you, Nora. I would love to be able to go back to school again but I don NOT miss term papers. Nuh uh.

Hope Owen and Mal feel better soon.

T!C, I don't know what time dad's surgery was scheduled for. Only that it was scheduled for this morning. I wouldn't worry about it at all but there's always that sliver of possibility that someone doesn't wake up from anesthesia or some freak mistake. Small percentage but I always acknowledge it by resigning myself to worry just a bit.

I was up 'til 3am last night and despite not having taken a nap yesterday, I wasn't massively productive. I think I've managed to transcribe lyrics to all the songs I'm performing and the act of writing them has helped me towards memorizing them but I really should have accomplished more yesterday. Because I didn't do as much, I'm going to have to spend hours doing my telecommute job as soon as I've bathed and broken my fast.

My condolences to your husband and his friends, Sparky. I hope you both have a good time at Yosemite.

I'm bored and I ate some horrible crackers that tasted like ass so I am also unhappy. So very bored and unhappy.

Maybe some gum will help (the terrible taste in my mouth, not the boredom).

If you put pop rocks in your gum, it might help with the boredom, too. Or try popping an Airborne tablet in your mouth. I did that absent-mindedly once. Woke me right up.

Yikes Spidra. That would wake you up. and fizz your brains!

What is even happening?

I fully subscribe to the worry-it-away school of waiting, so I understand. I hope everything goes okay for him, and that you get to know that, really soon.

::shudders at the thought of a raw Airborne::

It looks like we might get snow while in Yosemite. So much for the "we'll take our bicycles!" plan.
