What'd you all order a dead guy for?

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

She's Hott and Wise; He's Caustic with Eyes. They fight crime.

Oh, I SO have to tag this. May I darling Laura?

Our wings are not tired.

Of course, Robin.

Oh Type Boy, I'm thinking you might want to white font part of that dream for vw.

Still doing laundry and stuff. Side of face infected. Kids and pets have caretakers for my mini trip.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Yikes. I hope your cheek gets better soon, Laura.

Ah, beth. We're getting so much rain that when it's not raining it becomes awfully tempting to garden and such because you never known when it'll pour again. Freaky weather. And I'm terrible at predicting what will happen. I would have made a very bad 19th century farmer.

I'm blue. Negotiating the friendship with my ex is a never-ending saga. We didn't have a fight or anything. I'm just tired of him not knowing his own feelings well enough and me having to discover the way he really feels and act on it because he won't. I asked him if he wanted to hang out and watch a video yesterday and he said yes. Then he decided he wanted to watch videos with his household and other things that made it clear to me that he just hadn't had the guts to just say "thanks for asking me but I'd rather hang out with my housemates tonight". Most of my friends have been in long-term relationships for years and I still haven't recovered from how that affects my social life. I'm not the one people call up when they want to hang out. And...well..that makes me blue.

I'm trying to resist the urge to go into depressive hibernation today. So I've bathed and I'm about to do a couple loads of laundry. Then I'll make some hot cocoa as a treat. I think even though it makes me feel like I'm shirking, I'm going to rehearse before I do the part-time telecommute work. I haven't rehearsed fully for this gig yet and it's time for me to make sure I've got all the lyrics nailed down.

On the possible good news front, the SF Chron contacted me on Thursday wanting a higher res picture so they could feature my gig in the 96 Hours section next week. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but if that goes to print, that will be the most visible press I've ever gotten.

Hope all the Bitches are having a swell Saturday.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Look at the big bunny, [link] it is not associated, really, with the story it illustrates, which is

Bigs bunny: monster rabbit devours English veggie plots

Fri Apr 7, 11:21 AM ET

LONDON (AFP) - In a tale reminiscent of the last Wallace and Gromit movie, furious villagers in northeast England have hired armed guards to protect their beloved communal vegetable gardens from a suspected monster rabbit.

Sorry about the Blue Spidra. Distraction~ma. And yay on the 96 Hours possibility. If that section is on line please put a link up. If not, please save it so I can see it at the F2F.

Doctor thinks my face is not infected but that I am having a reaction to the antibiotic ointment. I talked to him on the phone. He wants me to stop using the antibiotic stuff and just use vaseline. He says often people that have issues with bandaids also have reactions to the ointment. Stupid skin. It's icky.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Heh. I haven't actually broken away from online distraction yet. Here's where 96 Hours is posted online. I guess they change the content out on late Wednesday or early Thursday: [link]

I'm listening to The Johnny Otis Show on KPFA and his grandson Lucky just mentioned that Johnny grew up in my 'hood. I knew he grew up in Berkeley but I didn't know he'd grown up in the Ashby/Sacto area.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jilli, you around by any chance?

I am now, but I'm betting you're not.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

nope, it is not going to be a real active day. no real energy. I have napped and watched some tv. I think all my allergy meds are keeping the real bad symptoms down, but not the energy suck . that's really ok, cause there was no plan to do anything. The house is annoyingly me, so I am guessing there may be some cleaning and picking up.

IOveryimportantThoughts, I am amused by where my cat sleeps. one of his favorite places - the hallway - where he can see down to the bedrooms in one direction, face the front door in another, and look a third way inot the livingroom. I'd say he was a watch cat, but he doesn't blink when I step over him.
