[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm just confidently waiting for some Bitch to come up with the perfect idea, any second, now.

Me too!

(though I like the cashemere socks -- bitch to find though, I've attempted this myself)

I am good at gifts if I know a person well, but nsm with a general idea for someone I don't know.

I need some advice. How do I just enjoy the time that T and the nephews are still here and not get all weepy about them leaving every few minutes?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Keep reminding yourself -- Be Here Now. Enjoy the now--which is right there in front of you.

Ok, Robin. Since you're here. It's 55 degrees today, on it's way to...well, 55 degrees. Can I wear flip flops?

No, because flip flops are not appropriate footwear for a mile walk. Also, movie theater floors are sticky and you could walk right out of your shoes. Sandals would be slightly more acceptable, but I suggest real shoes.

Okay, I GUESS you can wear what you want, but I Have Spoken. :)

Hee! The Robin has spoken. I will wear more sturdy shoes. They're already out, since I had to wear them yesterday :).

Flip flops are ebil.

95% of the floor in CJ's old room is cleared. I have located the vacuum. I need to clear out the closets and the built in desk, wash the walls, wash the built in desk, vacuum, and set-up the bed. If I can accomplish this today, I'll be a happy camper.

I'm sure you are all rivited to my progress.

So, ummmmmm. Giftie ideas. I'm at a loss. I like the "buy something special she wouldn't splurg on for herself" idea.

sj - Robin is wise (well, duh). Keep repeating the mantra - enjoy the now.

Because books.

Last summer I think wore shoes other than flip-flops maybe twice. Somewhere along the line I joined the Flip-Flop Cult.

I can't do them. Flip flops end up hurting my feet. In Suzi-World, they are only good for going to and from a pedicure.
