Lydia: But you are a vampire. Spike: If I'm not, I'm gonna be pissed about drinking all that blood.

'Potential'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

AmyLiz - tonight I get Perkins, juliana, a murder mystery play and booze - does that count? I'm sure there will be cabana boys basking around juliana and I can bask in her shadow.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Alright, hive mind, I need you desperately.

Mission: Birthday present a friend of mine is trying to buy

Timeframe: by tomorrow (midtown ideal)
Sex: girl
Status: close friend
Cost: $40 or less would be ideal

Thoughts? She's israeli and an investment banker if this helps.

Always Anti-fascist!

I got my hair cut last week, but will need to again right before I see y'all. I don't know, Trudy. Can't decide between something she'd use all the time, or, you know, perfume or something, on the "wouldn't buy it for herself" principle.

I am all for the "wouldn't buy it for yourself principle". What are her interests outside work, Trudy?

Hmm... I could send him to Lush... But unless someone is a Lush fan bath stuff can seem impersonal.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec--Frenchy's is no more! The owner sold it to her partner (who apparently was a horrible person) and all the good stylists left. Petrina, the brilliant, sweet, tattooed and pierced gal who is my dream haircutter, moved to a private salon. It's a building where each stylist has a private room. Very cool. I just got my hair cut and colored on Wednesday. AIFG!

I am very bummed at Frenchy's going away, but utterly pleased that you're maintaining your high standards of Scrappy Style.

Trudy, with those conditions I opt for the "gourmet socks" approach. That is, get a the ultra-fancy version of a fairly modest gift, like cashmere socks.

What is even happening?

AmyLiz - tonight I get Perkins, juliana, a murder mystery play and booze - does that count? I'm sure there will be cabana boys basking around juliana and I can bask in her shadow.

I swear, my sympathy only did a momentary dip. Momentary. Swear.

Thoughts? She's israeli and an investment banker if this helps.

Did I get it straight--the birthday girl isn't even your friend. Rather, your friend is wondering what to get for her friend? Oh, I have no idea. I have a hard enough time choosing for people I do know. As soon as I post this though, some 'ista will indeed come up with the perfect present. I'm willing to sacrifice what passes for my poise, for the cause.

She's not my friend, Cindy.

I'm helping my friend pick -- and he a) has no hivemind and b) doesn't reeeeeeally need to know that I have one and out-sourced this to sooper shoppers (we can just let him think I'm brilliant)
