Just had a mini-meeting with ImmediateSupervisor. Word finally came down from above to amend my Downright Insulting year-end raise. Still not as much as I would have liked, but at least some evidence of Respect and/or Appreciation. I'll still keep my eyes open for other opportunities, but at least I don't feel the miserable desperation to escape that I did up to now.

It was taking place now, more or less (meaning, he had been president for 8 years, and was no longer pres.), and we were hanging out in, like, a Bennigan's, and drinking beer. I think we were in L.A. It wasn't like the *actual* L.A., but in the dream I knew it was L.A.

Not so bad after the first half-hour. Take an Advil first. The cramping went down to mild by that night, and was gone after a couple days.

Whee! The cable guy showed up first on Tuesday and tried to charge me almost $100 so I had to send him away and then sort things out. I don't have the phone hooked up yet, but things are getting tidier.
