and yet....tonight's A's game was fantastic.
JZ was complaining early on: "Why did you introduce something else into my life that's stressful and nervous-making?" But later admitted that the ending was thrilling. Two things that have my full confidence: Huston Street in the 9th when his tongue is hanging out and Marco Scutaro coming to the plate in the 9th at home with a man in scoring position.
The Red Sox lost tonight, but as long as the Yankees did too, it all balances out.
I'm glad Emmett is feeling better.
Hec, we were AT the game, with the rain falling out of the sky and everything.
Actually by that point DH was asleep in the car and I was watching the rest of the game with my Coliseum buddies.
but as long as the Yankees did too
Heh, and we made A-Rod look like the punk he is!
Big talk after he hit a slam last night - but we whiffed him twice! Swinging!

I figured you were. When the lightning flashed here in SF I knew the game would get dumped on. On TV it looked like it was pouring. Glad Marco wrapped it up without extras. Dude's so baseball smart. In the post-game he said, "I saw Cano cheating towards the bag so I figured they'd pitch me in, and I looked to drive it."

Yay, and Damon didn't score any runs! I checked; I don't watch non-Red Sox games.

He almost hit a home run, actually. It just stayed in. But they stranded him.
Emmett kept yelling at him every time he came on the screen: "You traitor!"
My poor pompom anntenae got all wet and sad. Droopy even. So yes, it was pouring heavily for that last bit. But I was determined to see it through to the end.
We had left early the night before. I had both kids out on a school night and CJ had a slight cough. When it started to rain then, it was time to go. Since they didn't dig their way out of the 12 run hole they were in, I don't feel too bad. But that was yesterday - this is today!!!
Sorry to go all BASEBALL in bitches, but man, I love this game.
Loving Emmett!
I think he feels as betrayed by the haircut as anything. He started growing his own hair out when the Red Sox made their run in 2004.
