Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

why didn't somebody tell me that veggie cream cheese on toasted 7-grain bagels was this divine?

Mostly because you are making me jealous with this talk of bagels.

The GRE is kinda fun because you get your scores (well, except for the essay) RIGHT THERE.

I almost find that more intimidating. You know *right then* if you screwed up.

Hey. New board.

More likely you know *right then* that you didn't.

Coding and Sleeping

I sort of remember taking the GREs. I remember the general tests weren't too bad (I got an 800 on one of them, fun), but that the specific test (in my case physics) was pretty tough.

::makes fishy kissing face at D.:: Well, being positive is *one* way to look at it.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

SA, I'm running to the grocery store at lunch because of a severe banana shortage in my house. Anything you have a hankering for? Particularly snack-food-wise?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Cash, I think he might've wanted that silky teddy for himself.

Hey, Hec! Welcome back. Am sitting listening to an endless loop of the Jazzy Fay mix in my new room at work. For the third day in a row.

Thank you!

You're most welcome, Fay!

I should toss some more songs of that stripe up for you. It's a fairly large genre.

Feh. Me no wanna go work today.

Heh. And having just read Natter -- I make kick-ass biscuits and gravy....

t edit That was directed to SA, but you all might want to file away that info for future reference.

I was tempted by them all week, since they seemed to be on every breakfast menu in Tahoe. But I opted for banana pecan waffles with a side of sausage on my last day there. We ate at The Red Hut. JZ and her family had not eaten there in the entire 5 decades they'd lived in South Lake Tahoe, despite The Red Hut having been there at least as long.

I don't understand how you can NOT eat at a place called The Red Hut that (a) advertises waffles on their sign (thus showing a deep commitment to breakfast foods) and (b) always has a line out the door for breakfast, even on weekdays.

This is counter to all of my criteria for finding good restaurants.

More likely you know *right then* that you didn't.

This was me (WRT GREs)

YES OMG on breakfast of any order. Including, but not limited to, biscuits and gravy.

Also that popcorn stuff from Trader Joe's is eye-rollingly good.
