Gunn: You ready? Fred: Is no an acceptable answer?

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Did not drink anything. There are minors present, and while that's not really a factor, it's a reasonable excuse for the fact that I just didn't feel like alcohol tonight. DH made chili, and it was fabuloso and yummy. Every element in it was cooked through so it really shouldn't have been a problem, but I think it probably should have cooked longer, possibly through the night. We all had at least two bowls, several of us with diced cheddar on top, and...how shall I say? Um, flatulence has reigned supreme throughout the evening. Thank goodness the guys went outside to the big, nearly empty garage to play basketball--which I understand somehow involved hurling the five-year-old between the two "adults", but ??? Activity should have helped, but I fear there's a palpable fug about the old homestead tonight. Ah well, if it gets colder, we could maybe keep warm by figuring out a way to safely burn the methane?

ION, StE was sunbathing, striped to the waist in the sun and out of the breeze yesterday. Today? Snow! Which turned to rain and didn't stick, but still. Weather whiplash.

Dunno, but between mad massage and mad bartending skillz, I think I'd go with the massage. Even better, if he brings me the drink before he starts the massage.

Can Cabana Boy walk the dog too? It's 12 fucking degrees out.

Cass, can you hop on IM?

Good term! While our differences haven't been as great, it still sucks going from the 30's to the negatives in barely 3 days. They even cancelled the Polar Plunge that my daughter was signed up for; as soon as they cleared the ice away from the plunge area it would freeze right back up.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well yeah. Do you take me for a heathen? Drink, massage, freshen drink, more massage...

Trudy, shall hop.

a heathen?

Heathen, maybe; Spartan, no.

Well, no cabana boy actually in sight. Guess I'll have to go pour myself a drink.

::sighs piteously::

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It is eleven degrees here. On thursday, it was 66. Does anyone else see a huge discrepancy there?

I know, right?

No GS cookies for me. I have garlic around all the door and window frames. Cute, wee dwarfish garlic, with GS lettered on the bulbs, to keep the cutiehead cookie pimps away.

Yay for juliana's good day. And there was a lot of stuff--oooh! K-bug's dress is v. pretty and I'm sure she's gawjuss in it. And yay, Cass for forging into a new future, and taking advantage of the two-month rental as time to search for your own new place. And Rio's in LA now? How did I miss this?

Sorry for the continuing asthma battle, vw, and also boohiss to the asshat prof.

sj, goodonya for making decisions that make your life better, physically, emotionally, and otherwise.

I've been grinning like a loon reading about Teppy's Umfriend, and cheering from the virtual sidelines. Yay, woman! Good for you.

There was more. There always is, but I forget. I'll have to do a notepad--no, I mean an actual notepad and a pen. I had to surrender the computer earlier tonight, and my online notepad got wiped out when he closed my windows.

I'm babbling. But I'm so not ready for bed yet. And still, a little bit past the sense-making, I fear.
