Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Host ,'Why We Fight'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Y'all made me smile now.

Ok, will ask for the change.

I don't mind being called SuziQ in person. I'll answer to just about anything other than Susan or Sue. While my name *is* Susan, it is pronounced Sus-san - which only my family seems to get.

Um...people. 800 sq. ft. is not a SPACIOUS 2-bedroom. Thank you very much.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

SuziQ

Bother.

You do realize, Suzi, that you will constantly earworm me with CCR -

Oh, Susie Q
Oh, Susie Q
I love you my Susie Q
I like the way you walk
I like the way you talk
I like the way you walk
I like the way you talk
My Susie Q

See, that's not right. I had no idea of that song, and then I started to think about it, and now the tune is in my head. Of course, it's like 4 bars that you hear on the CCR Greatest Hits commercial, so it's over and over and over . . .

What is even happening?

Nicole - was considering SuziQ. Oh, and insent.

Yes! Love SuziQ.

This is fortunate. I've found there are two kinds of Susan/Suzannes (and Cindy/Cynthias in the world). Those who don't mind being called things like Suzi Q and (Cindy Lou--er...respectively) and those who want to stab everyone else on the planet, all the time, because they are not going to stop with the Suzi Q-ing [and Cindy Lou-ing (and Cindy Lou Hoo, and Cindy Lou Boo Hoo-ing)] no matter what.

I'm not sure I get how to say "Sus-san" though.

Cindy - think of Susan with an sss in the middle instead of a z sound.

It is gonna take me a bit to get used to my own username. Heh!

That's so pretty. I like when we re-S the sounds (either with spelling or just in speech, if the spelling never switched over) that have become Z in American English. My friend's daughter's middle name is Elisabeth, and I love to say it with the S sound, and spell it that way. It is a nice tweak.
