I hope he's not up to late tonight, Cash, but that's an adorable image.
Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
His sitter told me last week that he was falling asleep standing in his crib the one afternoon she keeps him. He's stubborn. I have no idea where he gets it. ::whistles::
I'm also kicking myself for not taking a picture.
He was falling asleep SITTING UP. Literally nodding off at the table.So. Adorable.
I'm also kicking myself for not taking a picture.Durn.
I'm going with the "twins will have each other" silver lining. And the "try to keep my damn mouth shut" when I am there for Easter.
Owen refused to nap today, in spite of an hour spent running around the park this morning. So he was sitting in his booster seat coloring with crayons and stickers a few minutes ago and DH called me up to take a look. He was falling asleep SITTING UP. Literally nodding off at the table. It's freakin' 6:30--too late for a nap.
Cashmere, can you change his diaper and put him in bed for the night? We've certainly done that. Actually, Chris fell asleep before or during supper, last week. We carried him upstairs, had him pee, then tossed him in bed. Luckily he was wearing sweats and was clean (enough).

Cassie, you keep your mouth shut by imparting the curse on her. Usually, only mothers can impart the curse, but I think as her sister (and as her sister) all the mothers I know would make an exception for you, in this circumstance.

I think he'll probably wake up around 9:30. This has been our experience before. I'm trying to give him a shortish nap (45 minutes) and then try the diaper change and putting him in pjs--he's still covered with stickers from playing (including one stuck to his face).
It's a tough call. We're just getting on a semi-regular night schedule with Olivia and everyone's been going to bed in their beds, at night and nearly sleeping through the night. I was hoping it would last. I left him on the sofa next to Christopher and we'll see if he wakes up on his own soon. If not, we'll try to transfer him to bed and see how long it lasts.
I think he'll probably wake up around 9:30.Ugh.

It's the weekend so I'm not stressed. Weekends are always easier because naps are always an option for everyone.
The house is even pretty clean and we have groceries--so we can just hang out and not worry about anything besides getting the laundry done.
Usually, only mothers can impart the curse, but I think as her sister (and as her sister) all the mothers I know would make an exception for you, in this circumstance.A lot of my trepidation and frustration comes from the fact that I let her and the nephlet move in with me rent-free when he was three months until after he was a year so she could get her life together. She ended up going back to working retail and I ended up basically being a single mom for nine months.
Long-ass way of saying thanks, Cindy.
Oh, Cashmere, that sweetie Owen. Hope he still sleeps through the night for you. Poor guy must just be all tuckered out.
So, I'm feeling a little less catastrophic...still feeling frustrated and blahish, but less catastrophic. I was really trying not to be catastrophic earlier, but it was still seeping through, I think. I'm gonna try to just take it easy and deal with the feelings till Monday, then start problem-solving. I've gotten some great ideas, here and from my therapist and parents, and when I'm feeling better I can start attacking those avenues.
Edit: Cass, do you have time to jump on IM for a bit?
