Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

In completely other news:

Whimper. Snivel. Wanna go!

(juliana take note: chance to win Depeche Mode tickets)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I am so there. Why can't you go?

Emmett weekend. Hec may need the release of pent-up fury and despair, though, so I may well shove him out the door once Emmett's in bed and send him solo while I hold down the fort and gorge myself on What Not To Wear.

Herding cats for fun

Lying Boss: Whatcha got there? Bag of tricks?

JZ: Bag of knives.

Hi. I'm Katerina. I'm into petty revenge and pointless acts of fury. I'm here to tap dance on your desk, kick papers around and yodel all damn day. Then I'll follow you home and warble under your window until you want to DIE DIE DIE.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think she's relinquished rights to that title. She may be had-no-other-choice boss, but not Nice Boss anymore.

Hereinafter? Weasel Boss.

but something to keep in mind is that maybe she totally wants to tell you but she's been told she's not allowed to.

Yeah, not good enough. I'm certain she's been expressly forbidden to talk to me about it, but you have to make your own moral choices. I'm not just an employee here - I work with her every day. I've helped her a lot since she's been here.

There's no downside to be honest with me when I ask a question like that. Just be square with me, and I'll be professional, wind things up and exit stage left. I don't know what they're afraid of. I'm not a raving loon. I'm not going to go in and maliciously monkeywrench the payroll database.

You don't have to lie to somebody to terminate them. You really fucking don't. If they feel bad about it, just give me a better severence. If they don't feel bad about it, just say, "You suck, goodbye."

It's like being fired by the guys from Dumb and Dumberer. Except it's more like Paranoid and Chickenshit.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Could be worse.

You could have found out on the company intra-net.

That's always fun. My ex-coworker and I used to joke that we'd find out because they'd cancel our building passes without telling us. Didn't know at the time how prophetic that was.

Trudy, if she can wrangle something better than two weeks severance for me then she can go back to Weak But Well-Meaning Boss. I'm doubting it though.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yeah, not good enough. I'm certain she's been expressly forbidden to talk to me about it, but you have to make your own moral choices.

I have to say I agree with you on that one. I'm sorry you are in such a fucked up situation.

I temped at a place where employees discovered they'd been terminated when they arrived at work and found themselves locked out of their e-mail and the company network. That was a pretty crappy day.

she shouldn't have lied to you, but can you blame her for not wanting to break the rules?
