I don't know about your thing Aims, though that, whaddayacallit? Sucks.
Also, Epic, you know I was just funnin' you, right?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

FYI everyone, you have the right, whenever you see your doctor or any specialist, to request that the notes, lab or OR reports, and clinic letters be cc'd to you. That way you have a copy of all records, totally under your control.
I was just going to ask that. So thanks for the advice, JZ.
SagaNonsequitur or somesuch?
t Hearting Seany. Sooo much.
Aimee I believe so, primarily because against all logic, your medical records are the property of the creating body, not YOU.
I've been wondering about this myself. I find it infuriating that I can get my regular clinic to send records to my Workman's Comp. clinic (well, after two or three requests and the copies being lost at least once), but if I want records for myself, of MY OWN BODY, I have to cough up cash. Been wondering who to ask about whether I had a legal leg to stand on for making a fuss. So, no then?

Hee! There you are. I thought you'd get a giggle out of that, but then you went all quiet and stuff.

Yep. Just a slow typist, Toots.
Mini-Rant Warning.
Okay, getting so irritated right now. Still waiting to get the last part of the group project that's DUE TONIGHT and was supposed to be TURNED IN TO ME BY SUNDAY NIGHT for proofing. I'm regretting the aggravation of being the leader of this group, but there's no way that I wanted to let one of the INFANTS who've attached themselves to me be in charge of the project that's going to be part of my grade, y'know? Once upon a time it was gratifying to be popular with classmates. Right now, annoying as all hell. Especially since I know the reason they like me is I do more work than they do. Because I know that if I want it done right...blah, blah, blah. Arrgh!
Thank you for your attention. You may now return to your non-rant posting.
Epic, I think it varies from place to place. The hospital I work at doesn't charge patients for records but does sometimes charge third parties. Possibly because we're a public university teaching hospital, which would make every taxpayer in California our partial-employers, and who are we to deny our bosses their requests?
I'm just completely fucking boggled at the notion that medical records can legally be withheld for nonpayment. The patient's wellbeing ought to take precedence over the profit motive, dammit.
Doctor has a theory. It's not bunnies. And I don't particularly like it.
You guys really aren't kidding about the Snuffleupagus thing? He's a) not a rare appearance on the show anymore, b) not someone who exists even though other folks never see him, and c) this too is the fault of the Reagan years?
Maybe the neo-cons will counter-act this, as it goes against belief in Jesus. Besides, the "No, really, he was right here" schtick was way funnier than the "you're a freaking mastodon, but you must be a greyhound for people to like you. Dance, motherupagus, dance!" thing.

Maybe midgets?

And yes, this. Aimee, have you had NewPlace contact OldPlace to request transfer? (Though you'd still have to approve, I think. HIPAA and all that).
What's the theory, Bug?
eta: Unless I'm being way too nosy, in which case, forget I asked and ignore everything in this post but my caring about you.
