But she was naked! And all... articulate!

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I notice they have the cover [link] of Rose is Rose: Running on Alter Ego up at Amazon.

Harvey got at the couple of scraps of roast beef I hadn't gotten a chance to put away/cook about 1/2 hour ago. It wasn't much, just a couple of chunks of raw beef, less than an inch in size.

My annoyance of him doing so has abated with his horking them up on the dining room floor.

Poor Harvey. Not ready for real meat. Good thing we don't have mice.

Maybe if he would have chewed it...

What is even happening?

Dear California People,

We don't care if your baseball games get rained out in March. We can't even find the world's smallest violin. Our hearts do not sweat for you, never mind bleed. So there.

Love,
The Rest of Us, Except for the Southerners

move out and draw fire

Sister: "Sometimes god works in mysterious ways, mom."

Mom: "That's not god, Jenny. That's having unprotected sex."

LOL. And I sort of just had this conversation with my niece, who called to tell me she's pregnant. I said, after congratulations, "I didn't know you had got that fertility problem solved (she and her husband have been trying for 2 years)."

She said, "I didn't either. I thought I had the flu."

The status is NOT quo.

Cindy, if it makes you feel any better, I appear to have brought New England's cold, gray March with me this year.

Well except for today. Today I'm sitting on my patio in a t-shirt and capris and enjoying the smell of orange blossom from the tree next door.

(I'm allowed! 30 winters in New England earns me some cred, right?)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Huh. This is just about when my annoyance increases. (See also: Puppycat bolted some of the canned food and puked. Again.)

It's a race day! ::does modified Cabbage Patch dance of Yay::

Sis went to the emergency room cause of the puking, tiredness and all the night before. Turns out the alien body making her sick was sperm poisoning, not a virus.

"Didn't you notice the fact that you might have, I don't know, missed your period?"

"I hadn't thought about that."

Yep, we're thrilled she's passing those genes on for the next generation...

The status is NOT quo.

Every time I hear a story like that I am utterly baffled. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???

People who do not know they are breeding when they breed should not be.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Well, if you've been trying for two years with no results, and you have irregular cycles, pregnancy probably isn't going to be the first thing on your mind when you feel sick.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

A woman I worked with is the exact case Jen is talking about. She is 41, had tried to conceive in the past with no success, and had no idea what was causing her lingering flu. She figured it out 8 weeks in and is thrilled.
