[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In other NYC shopping news, I got a postcard from Penzeys letting me know that they're hiring for their new GRAND CENTRAL STATION location. I think I actually jumped up and down when I read it. No confirmed date yet, but PENZEYS! A physical store! On my way home from work!

Wow, happy birthday Mal! I can't believe it's already been a year.

I'm getting the pig!

Wow. Time flies so freaking fast. Happy Birthday wishes to Mallory!

-t, I was going to send an update email but since you're here, what I meant to say in my email was that I was NOT expecting that ending. Missing that one little word. Sorry for any confusion.

Now I want coffee. But it's snowing and Starbucks is a little too far for me to walk to in a blizzard. (Cafeteria coffee is bleh.)

Toto is all curled up under the covers on my bed. He seems perfectly happy to be there. It's so cute.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy Birthday to Mal and job~ma to Matt!

Coffee bra just makes me wonder if caffeine can be absorbed through the skin - like a patch, but with support

I would buy five of these if they fit right.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Was this a sign?

this is the story of DH's 10th day at work.

After everyone else has left DH finds out that a whole bunch of lap tops have to have a whole bunch of software on them by 9am. he's the only one there to do anything. so he gathers laptops , throws them in a conference room, and goes to gather the software needed. One piece - is locked in someone's desk. It shouldn't be. but he goes looking and attempting to get into the desk. finally , he takes a crowbar to the desk. Spends most of the night getting laptops ready. Works the next day - he's a hero. plus , because he used a crowbar - extra cool points. ( except for the person whose desk he broke into )

Good side: he proves that he is inovative, and will do what it takes to get the job done. Plus the co starts paying more attention to how software is managed - including putting stuff on the server so it can be installed from there

Bad side: DH ends up in the emergency room the next night due to something he picked up eating bad food. and we find out that it isn't unusal for things to be so badly planned that last minute all nighters are not unusal.

What is even happening?

Oh my, that year flew by.

Happy Birthday, MAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cindy, that's creepy. I would call the non-emergency police number, if it were me.

I will if he comes back. I had just run out, and the car was there when I got home. I called Scott on the cell and just talked to him for a moment, when I got out of my car, the car was still there (I couldn't tell until I got out of the car, because of the way our land rises). I gave Scott the plate number and kept him on the phone until I went through the house (I had stupidly left the house unlocked, because I'd only run down the street, which is probably half the reason I felt creeped out). By the time I was done going through the house, the car was gone. Had it not been, I would have called the police, then.

Emeline slept in her own room last night. No waking up, no fussing, just all night long sleepies. WHOOOT!
