Went to see a friend's play at South Coast Rep yesterday. ND did the sound for it, which was cool. It took us THREE HOURS to get there, due to motherfucking LA traffic. The play was very good (it was nominated for a Pulitzer), especially Brian Kerwin and Kathy Baker in the leads. We had dinner with our friend afterwards, and that was a blast. Sadly, I did not get to bed until after 1:30am, so I am awfully tired today. I may have to spend the day just sitting here staring at the wall and lisitening to Green Day, as I think that is all I am capable of.
And I, daughter of Molly Sue Moran, am wearing green today.
I'm a total Euromutt. Dad's hobby is geneaology, so he's traced people back pretty far -- it's cute.
I am: German, English, French Huegnot, Scots, Irish, and a soupcon of unknown tribe of Native American - probably Sac or Fox.
No Irish at all here. English and Scottish. And possibly Mi'kmaq, but that can neither be confirmed or denied (I seriously doubt it, myself) until I'm able to track down the names of my grandfather's parents, which at this point is looking like it'll happen when there's ice skating in hell.
Paul's grandmother has cousins in Ireland, so I suppose he's part Irish, but he's part a lot of stuff.

I'm too much of a mishmash to call myself much of anything. Definite Anglo/Irish/German/Dutch influences, but both families have been here long enough that I could probably claim anything.
I used to love when my paternal g'father would get out the old family photos and tin-types and tell us who people were. He had a colorful vocabulary, and when he'd say things like, "This is your great-great-cousin Mary who was the town whore," I thought it was awesome.
- sigh* I wish we had a town whore. We DO have a crazy old Heugenot ancestor who used to stand up and yell that the preacher was the devil.
