Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Just e-mailed the tutoring coordinator. Will wait to hear from her before I e-mail my students, and the professor. I'm most dreading that...letting the professor know.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

CaBil, so sorry to hear of your loss.

vw, sounds like you're on the right track. As for the professor, he'll just have to deal. One of the things about school that always bugged me was the way they tried to make out like everything is so! vital! and that's the way the real! world! is! NSM.

the way they tried to make out like everything is so! vital!

This is something that's bugged me about most of my jobs, too.

Ok. Here's a weird question.

My boss's wife is pregnant. I made some really cute little baby hats this weekend that I was going to give to him. Would it be inappropriate to take those in for him on Monday when I go in to wrap things up?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not at all.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Betrayal fries is JessiMoon.

I stumped everyone, woot! (Or should I be sobbing quietly in a corner that I don't appear to have a recognizable posting voice? Oh, the dilemma...)

vw, sounds like you're on the right track. As for the professor, he'll just have to deal.

Yup. What Sail Said.

Happy Green Beer Day, everyone.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

All your posts reminded me it was St. Patrick's - I had forgotten. Then I looked down and I'm wearing a perfect green shirt. The dinosaur brain knew, but yet I missed the memo.

I'm a dork.

Thanks all. Patches had a pretty good life after she was rescued and came to stay with us, and still managed to, sick, underweight, and moving very slowly, to terrorize the other cats and dog in the house up to the day she died, so what else can any cat want..?

I just called the Bursar's office to find out what is going to happen to my account if I take a leave of absence. Their message says they are closed, and I should call back during normal business hours: Monday-Friday 9-5.

I think someone forgot to switch the phones this morning.

I'm getting the pig!

Sounds like the perfect kitty life, CaBil. RIP, Patches.

vw, great advice here from everyone and it sounds like you're on the right path *for you*. {{{vw}}}

I wore green yesterday. I guess the dinosaur brain glanced at the wrong calendar by accident.
