I just talked to my psychopharm. He's pissed at the ER, because they didn't consult him when I was there Monday/Tuesday. He's also pissed that I had two seizures in the waiting room, but I think he's more pissed that they didn't consult him. I told them to page him. TWICE. I even told them that he was angry the last time I came in for seizures, because they didn't consult him, and he would have asked for an EEG to be done. So, they knew. I'm afraid heads may roll.
He was actually very helpful, though. He gave me firm guidelines as to *when* I need to go back to the ER (if a seizure lasts more than 10 minutes, if I have convulsions, or if I have more than 3 in a day). No one else had done that, so I needed some reassurance. He also said if I have to go back, I'll probably be admitted. Ugh. Hopefully I won't have to go back.

Because this is not about VW -- this is about every. single. patient. who goes to that ER. It's about all the patients who don't have powerful doctors on their side, and who are being mistreated just the way you were, and who can't do anything about it. It's about fixing a broken system so that it works.
