Oh no. Too dangerous, too messy. Tesla coils, on the other hand, make great bzzzzt! noises, and won't really hurt anyone. He doesn't want to hurt or kill anyone, he just wants to use the mind-control lasers on them.

I should maybe not mention this, but I got this book a few years back for an engineer friend of mine. I'm sure he still has it, if it's not in print any longer. But, to the point, there's a book out that contains the collected patents of Nikola Tesla, from which you could almost certainly build your own (::ahem:: Clovis' own) Tesla coil.
Just putting that out there.

Also, what was the not-Aromaleigh company that you mentioned was doing mineral makeup? The gothy one?
