Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

I will be getting some vintage bakeware (and a teapot) in the mail soon (all pink with black lids!)

I'm sure no one is surprised that this is the first I've heard of this... humph.

Pete, I have no idea what you're like... but I could tell my DH about all my purchases and when the packages arrived it would still be the first he'd heard of them.

libkitty, it's nice to hear that in the aftermath of the fire there are good things.

{{vw}} just because.

Mostly lurking...

So, tomorrow, if my legs cooperate and aren't too painful, I think I'll work on Mystery Quilt 2. Yay!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I have all the supplies I need to make chocolate covered cherries in the next week or two, assuming I remember to put the brandy ON the cherries soon.

I finally found a copy of Dub Side of the Moon, so it'll get out of my freaking head. Although it seems to have been replaced with Black Star.

Facilities swears its going to fix the heat in my office so that I'm not boiling hot.

I now have a stylish Coach handbag that doubles as a short-trip diaper bag.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

So....has anyone had anything *good* happen to them lately?

My temp-to-perm job is likely to go perm at any time now!

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Today's Karaism:

I love stereumtypes, my whole family is stereumtypes and it's a very good to be stereumtypes.

What's a stereumtype?

It's a big group of dinosaurs--T-Rexes!--that all live and hunt together. They like being in a stereumtype.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

He opened it up and clear as a bell recited his way through the entire book. I nearly cried.

Squeeeee!!

I will be getting some vintage bakeware (and a teapot) in the mail soon (all pink with black lids!)

Oooh, snazzy. I should scour eBay for vintage cooking stuff. (Nevermind that Freecycle is more in my budget range right now...)

Our wings are not tired.

Therapist is really pleased with how well I'm handling everything that's coming my way.

Wrod. You have had way more than your fair share of health crap recently. The way that you have dealt with things methodically and calmly has been most impressive. I know you feel like you freak out, but you have handled things so well. I see you dealing what is thrown your way with solid judgment and careful analysis. When you get to the other side of this challenge you are going to look back and realize just how well you coped with this nightmare.
