Simon: The decision saved your life. Zoe: Won't happen again, sir. Mal: Good. And thanks. I'm grateful. Zoe: It was my pleasure, sir.

'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

In today's chapter of As vw's Body Implodes, she went to the ER last night after having a couple seizures*. After six hours there, and two more seizures, she's finally being seen and tested to check her med levels (on the theory that aaaallll the new drugs are not playing nice with the old drugs, namely the seizure medication. She may or may not be admitted, depending on what they find (and whether a bed opens up). I'm off to school soon so won't be able to post until later this afternoon, but she wanted me to let you know.

(* Note to anyone who's only really familiar with seizures from TV shows -- this is not the convulsive floppy kind of seizure, it's the zoning out and not hearing or responding to outside stimulus kind of seizure.)

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Gah! Thanks for the update, Emily. I'll be praying for vw today, that's for certain.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Anytime you can write "Yesterday. Walking down the street in Paris..." you've got an excellent start on a memorable spring day.

yep. at first, I thought it was pretentious, but then I remembered that it was the Buffistas :)

Cash, I just bought my nephew and godson the cutest little French pirate inspired outfits. The little jacket has a pocket for "tresor" and says "a l'abordage" (which after much work, we figured out means "up and at 'em" and the girl's says "zoe, la pirate". SO CUTE. they were inexpensive, so if you want one, send an email to my profile addy. (with size)

Our wings are not tired.

{{vw}} Thanks for letting us know Emily. All the ~ma I can muster that the doctors figure out what they have done to frak vw's system so badly.

Our wings are not tired.

Black coffee:

Happy Buffistaversary Kristin! I remember like it was yesterday when you jumped in with both feet at the DC F2F. It has been our pleasure to have you here.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hee. Owen so needs one of those. Maybe Kara, too.

So apparently the Sex Pistols turned down their election into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a profanity-laden letter that began "We are not your monkeys."

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Welcome, Fern!

((((vw))))

Bless her. Enough already.

Meanwhile, prompted by the lovely SA's splendid pics of her new cut, here is my chic new haircut. (Ignore the fact that the pictures were taken by my phone, or that there's no makeup in pretty much all of them. You can still see the general haircut shape thing, yeah?)

I got it cut prior to going for my interviews, but the lass who cut it didn't understand any English or indeed the miming etc that I offered to indicate 'angled bob, please, gov'nor'. The miming generally works fine with barbers here, but I suspect that this girl doesn't cut short hair very often - it being pretty unusual in Egyptian women - and she clearly hadn't got a clue. I ended up with my hands over my head saying "Enough! Enough! Stop now, please!" in Arabic. 2 days later I was in the UK, and went into a shop which charged me 10 times as much, but did a lovely job of fixing what she'd done. Thus the present 'do.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

FAY!! That haircut - and you- look gorgeous!

Also, all your work in taking off weight really shows. The shape of your face is quite different. Beautiful before and after, but I just wanted to let you know that there is quite a difference.
