Xander: I do have Spaghetti-os. Set 'em on top of the dryer and you're a fluff cycle away from lukewarm goodness. Riley: I, uh, had dryer-food for lunch.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

{{{{vw}}}} and yeah for the diflucan. I hope it works and does so quickly.

Trudy, I'm glad you stayed home. You know, I'll bet that if you're really sick tomorrow you don't have to go in then either. In fact, your coworkers might prefer that you don't.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've just missed so much work lately.

I was out for a bereavment week for Gramma and Mimi.

Then a long-planned vacation.

Then a personal day last week to go see a grieving friend.

And now this sick day.

They really DO love me -- but love or not, on paper this is starting to look flaky.

I'll make myself go in tomorrow. If I have to leave early that should be fine.

I get this. I totally do. You and me. We'll go back tomorrow.

So, I wrote this piece that I hope will end up being a chapter of my book on DBT. It's about how to use more than one skill at once to get through a difficult situation. So, the chapter is about the last month and dealing with all this health crap.

I titled it "There's Bacon Sizzling in My Vagina: Dealing with Life as it Comes, By Using the Skills You've Learned."

No, that's not the best part.

I sent it to my dad to read and comment on.

At work.

He hasn't gotten the e-mail yet.

It got flagged by their ISP as inappropriate.

He's so gonna kill me.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

BWAHAHA! It always surprises me what the filters will let through and what they won't. So, do you know if they actually let it through, "flagged" it, or does that mean it totally blocked it?

editted for clarity.

There is a list of books I am giving away in my livejournal.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

vw, you funny girl.

This visit with my mom has been the best yet. She still gets on my nerves a bit (woman is so unbelievably Abstract Random, it's unreal), but it's been fun. There's been shopping, and rounds-making, and Buffista-meeting....

Also, there may be Potential Boy-age in my future. He reallyreally likes me, but I've told him we need to revisit the question in 6 months to give him time to graduate (he's gonna be a PT) and get his head straightened out, and to give me time to finish baking, as it were.

But he's awfully cute. And smart. And tattooed (not that unusual for me, I know). And he grew up in the upper reaches of WA and Canada, so he Gets The Alaskan Thing. So.

Squee!
