Oh, my God, that must be up there with some of television's dumbest moments, Trudy.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I had to go out today for a 90th birthday party. I am determined to stay put tomorrow.
I'll get some Russian Coffee Cake some time next week. Zabar's isnt' going anywhere. There IS lesser RCC on my block. It's worth considering.
I've joined zipcar. I think they should have zipboyfriend. I book a guy for an hour and he comes over, brings me soup, puts a cloth on my head. It would be awesome.
So, should I watch Conviction ?

Zipcar sounds great, but this sounds even better. I would so join this!
I was a bit meh on Conviction. I might give it another couple of weeks and see, though. I haven't been watching much cable/broadcast tv lately though. I've mostly been watching dvds - almost done with Farscape. My only appointment tv I've actually been missing because I'm taking a class and keep forgetting to tape it.
Ooh! What is the class?
I'm opting for 48 Hours Mystery -- until I see what it is.
Erika, why is it so bad? WHY?!?!?! None of the others suck like that. Well, maybe Conviction does. I don't know.
I'm bored and miserable. Someone tell me not to google old boyfriends.
I can imagine me saying some incredibly bad pun, and Andi looking at me and saying, "I'll cut you."
I dunno. I'm rather fond of, "I may have to throw something at you," and, "I am contemplating domestic violence."
It's a four year class offered through my church. We meet once a week for about 9 months. It's a great group and I enjoy it a lot, but I liked it better when we met on Thursdays. Now, we meet on Tuesdays and it interferes with House and Bones. Plus, I just don't like being out late on Mondays or Tuesdays. It's a thing.
48 Hours opened with a guy sitting on a bale of hay telling what happened. I'm a little horrified.
Class sounds cool, Lib, and possibly more important than TV.
Yeah, it is. But if it were on Thursday, there would be no conflict. Also, I don't mind being out late on Thursday nights. But it's worth it on Tuesdays, I just whine a bit.
I'm such a dweeb.
Speaking of being out, I have to go get ready to go out. I hope you feel better soon, Trudy. And by soon I mean tonight, or tomorrow at the latest.
Also, I forgot to post earlier:
I do have experience as a library shelver, but that was over 10 years ago and many many jobs ago. How would I go about putting that on a resume?
sj, just in case I'm not too late on this: I'm not a resume expert and if you hear from one of the resume experts here, I would take their advice over mine. With that caveat, I recommend putting a section before your other work experience labeled "Relevant Work Experience." Under that, put the shelving and anything else that you think might relate more than your other work experience. Then, if there's not much or it's all old, you might put "Work Experience" and some more (recent) jobs. I'm not sure what the job situation is there, but I imagine most libraries would be thrilled to get shelvers that have any relevant experience at all, especially if they can still figure out LC or Dewey. There's a handy online tutorial, if you need a refresher. It doesn't come up early on google, but I'll look for it if you're interested. I think I have the link on my work computer.
I think it's so bad because a. Standards and Practices, ie, the censors will only let stuff get *so* twisted.(Where is Life's S&P, I ask you?) b. They are absolutely petrified to let us forget These Characters Are The Good Guys And Fight The Good Fight, Although it Costs Them Tremendously for even five seconds. c. Also, they feel that it's a bold move to come out against rape and child abuse so they remind us they're bad every episode. If they weren't on different networks, maybe Dr. House should go on there and piss everyone off or something...Cameron could stalk PsychoStabler...that would be fun. He could just ruin whole eps and blurt out "Stop screwing your stepdaughter." and stuff.
