Saffron: You just had a better hand of cards this time. Mal: It ain't a hand of cards. It's called a life.

'Trash'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Tell me there's some other treatment for the asthma.

Well, I'm almost off the steroids. We're shortening the taper, so I'll be on them for five more days, rather than eight.

Has the doctor decided how he/she is going to handle it?

Motrin. It's just got to work its way out of my system. Fun, huh?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, at least you were almost off of them. I hope the tapering goes easily for you and your body bounces back.

I'm watching this right now:

Gothic Style Kitchen

Really cool.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I watched that last weekend and instantly thought - Jilli needs this kitchen!

Totally. I love the window and the cupboards.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

vw, my preliminary googling seems to indicate that mild exercise -- just plain old walking, not even vigorous walking -- will help steroid myopathy. Because myopathy is affecting your muscles, mild exercise strengthens them.

I've been thinking I'd like to see some of the Dakotas one day, but I think I'll put it off until its governing body extracts its head from its ass.

Conveniently, I was born in South Dakota, so I feel no need to go back. Yippee.

I saw this story and thought of meara.

Aww. Female homecoming king! and Hood College is nearby.

Randomly, I'm watching NCIS, and there's this woman who is apparently working there, but also somehow a Mossad agent? Or something? In any case, I'm liking her character, except that I keep thinking she's Moira Kelly, and then realizing she's not. Which is disconcerting. The gothy chick is also kinda hot. She's wearing a corset. Mmmmm.

Maidengurl, so sorry about C. I hope that she wises up and it turns out OK for her, or she learns a valuable lesson, or somesuch.

Good LORD, VW, you just are having the worst health luck! Yeesh.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

The gothy chick is also kinda hot.

Pauley Perette. Yum.

And according to her IMDb bio, in her personal life she's obsessed with forensic science, so it's fun and funny that she gets to do this for a day job. She's also a published poet.
